Bungalows, semis and the Whiteley new-builds

The centre keeps its Georgian and Victorian townhouses along High Street and West Street, but most of the borough was built between the 1930s and 1970s: long roads of semis and bungalows in Stubbington, Portchester, Titchfield and Fareham Park, many with hipped roofs and generous lofts. Bungalows were popular targets for spray foam, because a large, easy-to-reach roof slope seemed an obvious place to insulate. Whiteley, Locks Heath, Park Gate and Warsash have since added thousands of modern homes with trussed roofs, where foam still turns up.

Removed by hand, recorded as we go

We work along each rafter peeling the foam away, then wire brush the surface until the timber is clean. Nothing chemical is used and nothing is cut into the roof. The foam is bagged in the loft and removed from site, and we photograph the exposed timbers so you have a record of their condition.

Keeping a Fareham sale moving

Family homes and retirement bungalows both tend to change hands with a full survey, and when spray foam is noted the buyer's lender may refuse to proceed until it's removed. We prioritise survey-related removals and give a realistic completion date with the quote.

Spray foam removal in Fareham: FAQ

From £28 per m² plus VAT with disposal included. Open bungalow roofs are usually quicker to work in than cramped terraced lofts, which the quote reflects. Our cost guide has typical examples.

Not unusually so. A bungalow roof covers more area than a house with the same floor space, so the m² figure is higher, but access is usually straightforward.

Most removals are finished within four weeks of booking. Time on site depends on the roof area and how firmly the foam has bonded.

Yes. The Gosport peninsula is covered from the Fareham side, along with Stubbington and Lee-on-the-Solent.
