Spray Foam Insulation Removal in Eastleigh
Eastleigh is a few miles up the M3 from our Southampton base, so it's one of the easiest places in Hampshire for us to reach. MG SOURCE removes spray foam insulation from lofts across Eastleigh and the wider borough by hand, leaving the roof timbers clean and ready for a surveyor to inspect.

Railway terraces, 1930s semis and trussed roofs
Eastleigh grew up around the railway works, and the streets nearest the centre are still late-Victorian terraces with simple pitched roofs and narrow loft hatches. Chandler's Ford, Boyatt Wood and Bishopstoke are mostly 1930s semis and bungalows, many of which had foam sprayed under the roof slopes in the last twenty years, while Hedge End, West End and Fair Oak add late-20th-century estates with trussed-rafter roofs. Tight access, long rafter runs and slender truss timbers each need a different approach.
How we take the foam off
The foam is cut and peeled from the timber by hand, then every rafter is wire brushed until bare wood shows through. No solvents or power tools touch the timber, so there's no chemical smell in the house and no risk of chewing into the rafters. Debris is bagged as we go and the loft is swept before we leave.
Surveys, lenders and Eastleigh sales
Many Eastleigh enquiries start with a homebuyer report that mentions spray foam, which quickly turns into a lender asking for its removal before they'll proceed. Send us the relevant page of the report with a couple of loft photos and we can often quote without waiting for a site visit.

Yes. Many older terraces near Eastleigh town centre have small hatches. We use hand tools and bags, not bulky equipment, so a standard hatch is all we need.
